A Flatter Midsection with Charlotte Abdominoplasty
Excess skin and fat can build up on the abdominal area due to weight gain, pregnancy or weak abdominal muscles. Abdominal muscles that have been stretched and skin stretched along with them, often do not respond to exercise. Even persons with the most strict diet and exercise plan sometimes do not see the results they have been working so hard for. Abdominoplasty, or a “tummy tuck”, is designed to reduce or even eliminate a protruding abdomen.
In this North Carolina cosmetic procedure, the abdominal wall muscles are tightened and excess fatty tissue and skin are removed to improve the body contour. The goal is a narrower, flatter abdomen. It can be done in combination with liposuction to further define areas such as the flanks, hips and lower back. While a tummy tuck can be an effective treatment for those that are having trouble toning their mid section, abdominoplasty is not a substitute for weight loss.
Dr. Ferrari and his staff are here to help you decide if plastic surgery is right for you. A consultation with Charlotte Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Dr. Ferrari will help you better determine if a tummy tuck is the best procedure to meet your needs.
