A new breakthrough technology in microdermabrasion skin resurfacing has just been acquired exclusively at Premier Plastic Surgery Center in Matthews. Previous microdermabrasion technology involved the high-speed propulsion of sandy crystals composed of aluminum oxide against the skin (i.e. “microsandblasting”). Medical controversy is rising regarding the safety of inhaling aluminum oxide dust. In contrast, our NewApeel system utilizing the DiamondTone Wand, is a revolutionary new approach to removing dead skin and eliminating superficial blemishes resulting from aging, acne, injury, scarring, or prolonged exposure to the sun without the risks associated with aluminum oxide dust inhalation. This technology was released approximately two years ago in Germany and then in California.
